The gateway to natural living
Homemade foaming dish soap might be one of the most simple cleaning recipes you will ever make, although most homemade dish soaps are really simple as well. This dish soap is very versatile and can be used for so many things!
Making my own cleaning products was one of the first steps i took in my natural journey. It felt so different and new and overwhelming at first. Now I have learned so much and feel like that is a piece of cake Only because I have been doing it for years! As you keep learning and growing your skills, it becomes easier. Before you know it, you will be cooking completely from scratch, from a garden and grinding your own grains! …If that’s anything your interested in of course.
What you will need
- Foaming soap bottle
- Castile soap – I like to use the baby unscented one so i can add my own oils
- Filtered water – I use my Berkey water
- Essential oils – I use Young living ( a citreous oil like lemon works great for cutting threw grease, but I also like Thieves oil for dishes as well)
- Funnel – this is optional but can help if you have a small opening.
How to make Homemade Dish Soap
Fill your foaming soap bottle 1/3 of the way up with castile soap

Fill the rest of the way with filtered water

Add 10-15 drops of your Essential oils

Put the top on and shake

Now you are ready to put it on your sponge and wash some dishes!

Notes
You can easily make this into a hand soap or body wash by switching the oils you use and add in an oil like fractionated coconut oil or olive oil.
Be sure to shake the bottle before each use!
