Ingredients
- Ezekiel Flour Mix – 2 cups ground
- Baking powder – 1 tablespoon
- salt – 1/2 teaspoon
- sugar – 1/4 cup
- Milk – 1 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract – 1 tablespoon
- 4 Eggs – white and yolks separated, but don’t throw them out
- Butter – 1/2 cup melted
How to make the Best Ezekiel Waffles
Heat the waffle iron.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

Melt butter on the stove.
Separate egg yolks into a medium mixing bowl and the whites into a bowl of a stand mixer (or just a separate bowl to be whipped)

Whisk in milk and vanilla in the bowl that has the yolks.

Whisk egg whites in a stand mixer (or in another mixing bowl) until slightly stiff peaks form.

Pour the milk, egg yolk and vanilla mixture into the dry mixture. Stir the mixture gently until just combined.

Now stir in the melted butter.

Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the batter.

Scoop batter into waffle iron.

Cook until nice and golden brown.

Repeat with the rest of the batter.

Serve waffles warm with butter and maple syrup.
