Should I refrigerate my body butter?
It is not necessary to refrigerate your whipped body butter, but it may be a good idea. Notes
You don’t have to be exact, just do your best to guess.
Cocoa butter is really hard so try to just chop off a piece that looks about equal to the proportions of the other ingredients.
If you choose to use Essential Oils, make sure you use a safe oil that can be used topically. Also be aware of citrus oils, especially if you will be out in the sun! Please don’t use citrus oils if you will be using it when out side, because they are phototoxic.
This Tutorial is actually quite simple and all you need is equal parts for the main ingredients! I used 1/2 cup measurements but please feel free to cut it in half or double it!
If you don’t want to use essential oils you can leave them out! I think the whipped body butter smells delicious on its own if I’m being honest. It smells a bit like chocolate because of the cocoa butter.
Another option would to use an extract Like Vanilla extract. I have never tried it myself to see how it would turn out so be cautious and let me know how it turns out if you did!
Another idea is infusing herbs like lavender into the olive oil and using that in place of regular olive oil! Again, I haven’t tried that but I’m sure it would work perfectly in it! I’m definitely going to try it this way next time I make it!
